A surprise wedding!
Our good friends asked us to help with a top-secret plan involving a big party. Guests would think they were at a surprise 60th birthday celebration. The real surprise - an hour in, the whole thing was revealed to be their wedding.
Designing stationery that had to pass for a birthday invitation while secretly setting the stage for a grand wedding was a first.
Together, we decided on an overall theme, a colour palette and suitable typefaces. This was applied to the stationery, the menus and the place settings. A ‘60’ emblem was created for the sticker that sealed the invitation envelope. Based on two interlocking rings, it was the only clue to the evening’s true purpose.
Using Moo for printing meant we could take advantage of their Printfinity feature, personalising each invitation, menu and place setting. While Moo makes the printing part easy, the real challenge was keeping track of names, food preferences and inevitable last-minute changes.
